Urban planning proposes a desirable vision for a city, encompassing the entire process in which such a vision is achieved. Seoul, the capital city of the Republic of Korea, owes its current existence to its time-honored history and culture. While promptly addressing urban issues from rapid growth, the Office of Urban Planning has worked with the citizens of Seoul to come up with sustainable urban planning and restoration policies unique to the city, helping it stand firm against the global wave of slow growth.
