Inside a North Korean apartment

Seoul, the South Korean capital, is only about two-hundred kilometres from its counterpart in the north, Pyongyang, but the distances socially, politically and culturally are vast. The Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism is trying to bridge that gap with an installation that is essentially a full-sized Pyongyang flat, complete with a plant-bedecked balcony, solar panel, and flat-screen TV. James Menendez spoke to the installation's curator, Dongwoo Yim.
