TMC forges ties with Korea to convert Thane into smart city
THANE: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) is forging ties with the Korean government to adopt its technology in converting Thane into a smart city.
THANE: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) is forging ties with the Korean government to adopt its technology in converting Thane into a smart city.
The TMC is likely to adopt ideas from the Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) to improve its civic infrastructure, including water supply, solid waste management and new modes of renewable energy. A delegation from Seoul recently visited civic chief Sanjeev Jaiswal to finalize a venture between the two cities and take efforts in making Thane city into a world class one. Jaiswal is likely to travel to the international hub next week to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the SMG.
