Addresses for EV charging stations in Seoul

The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) announced to assign addresses to EV charging stations so that EV users can locate chargers more quickly and conveniently. Users will now be able to search locations of EV charging stations using a mobile app (i.e. Tmap) and platform (i.e. Elecvery by TBU).

The city plans to assign addresses to 200 outdoor fast chargers by August, and gradually expand coverage to all fast chargers in Seoul.

The city’s assignment of addresses for EV charging stations is expected to play a role in laying the groundwork for the future EV charging industry, such as recognizing the location of temporary charging stations, parking and charging of autonomous vehicles, and safety management of charging stations in buildings, which have previously been difficult to implement.
