Spring festivals in 17 parks citywide
The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) is welcoming spring with festivals in parks across the city from April to May for citizens to enjoy picturesque seasonal outings ensconced in forsythia, tulips, and cherry blossoms without having to leave the city.
Starting in April, the city will host various cultural and leisure programs at each spring flower festival for visitors to experience nature in 17 parks, including Seoul Botanic Park, Seoul Iris Garden, and Namsan Park, a major landmark in Seoul that is loved by many as a must-visit cherry blossom spot.
At Seoul Botanic Park, an exciting festival will be held from Fri, Apr. 21 to Sun, Apr. 23 filled with spring flowers and enjoy various performances, art exhibitions, experience programs, and even a landscaping design contest. The city is also operating a parent-friendly program at the park to relieve their stress from daily life and childcare. There will also be music in the air with traveling band performances.
More spring festivals will be held in May to celebrate Family Month—for example, visitors will be able to enjoy beautiful irises in full bloom at Seoul Iris Garden, tulips in full bloom at Seoul Forest, and even a pop-up adventure playground that stimulates children’s curiosity and imagination in Boramae Park.
