The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) held a public poll for the most anticipated policies of Seoul Vision 2030, the master plan for the SMG’s city administration over the next decade. The poll resulted in a ranking of top ten most anticipated policies—topping the list was “Electric Vehicles & Charging Stations” (i.e. electric vehicle distribution and development of five-minute charging network).
The SMG conducted Seoul Vision 2030 Online Best Policy Poll over 15 days from Wed, Nov. 10 to Wed, Nov. 24, and “Electric Vehicles & Charging Stations” (i.e. electric vehicle distribution and development of five-minute charging network) ranked first with 6,298 votes (6.05%). It was followed by “On Seoul, Health On” (i.e. Seoul-style smart health care device) with 6,128 votes (5.88%), “Underground Infrastructure” (i.e. improved traffic and environment) with 5,996 votes (5.76%), “Redevelopment Regulatory Relief” (i.e. six-track housing stability) with 5,165 votes (4.96%), and “Safe Hospital Chaperone Service” (i.e. assistance for single-person households) with 5,118 votes (4.91%).
The Seoul Vision 2030 Online Best Policy Poll was conducted, targeting the SMG’s 30 major projects for the implementation of Seoul Vision 2030. A total of 15,440 citizens participated in the poll (5 to 10 policies selected per participant, and a total of 104,160 votes).
By category, the selected policies are divided into six for “Resilience; Safe City” (1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 9th, and 10th), two for “Global Leadership” (3rd and 8th), and two for “Co-prosperity; Coexistence” (4th and 7th). This result indicates that, among the directions of Seoul Vision 2030, citizens are most interested in Seoul become a resilient and safe city.
