Seoul Accepts Applications for Moving into “Seoul International Finance Office” and Supports 70% of Rent

In October, Seoul will be opening the “Seoul International Finance Office” in Yeouido, the central financial district of the city. The office will be located on the 16th floor of One IFC (International Finance Center), accommodating 1-30 persons for up to 5 years. The office is a special space for attracting and integrating excellent financial institutions from Korea and abroad. The city will provide companies with offices, meeting rooms, and networking spaces, offering support of more than 70% of rental and maintenance fees for up to five years.

Companies that can move in the office are limited to headquarters, branches, local headquarters of Korean and foreign financial institutions, finance-related international organizations, NGOs, or groups that are entering Yeouido for the first time or re-entering the region. The Seoul Metropolitan Government will develop the “Seoul International Finance Office” into a pivotal facility for domestic and overseas financial institutions, making it a core facility that enhances the financial competitiveness of Yeouido and associating with “Seoul Fintech Lab,” the center of the domestic fintech industry, and “School of Finance,” the center of digital finance education. This is the first time that the SMG has created a separate space to attract excellent financial institutions, and actively provided the space and part of the rent. The city aims to boost the concentration effect of the financial industry in Yeouido, vitalizing the financial industry and improving its competitiveness.
The “Seoul International Finance Office” will be take up the entire 16th floor of One IFC with offices for 1-30 individuals who can use the space for up to five years. Various programs, including legal & investment consulting and support for foreign executives and staff, will be offered as well. The Seoul Metropolitan Government will develop the “Seoul International Finance Office” into a pivotal facility for domestic and overseas financial institutions, making it a core facility that enhances the financial competitiveness of Yeouido and associating with “Seoul Fintech Lab,” the center of the domestic fintech industry, and “School of Finance,” the center of digital finance education.
The recruitment period will last for four weeks, from July 29 (Wed.) to August 21 (Fri.), and the application form will be accepted for two days, from August 20 (Thurs.) to 21 (Fri.). Move-in will start at the end of October. The Economic Policy Office of the SMG will be accepting the applications.
