- Application period from Tue, Jun. 27 to Thu, Jul. 6 via the Family Seoul website
- Program to start in July and last until November

The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) launched a new program aimed at assisting families with household services to reduce the burden of pregnant women, dual-income families, and families with multiple children as part of its Happy Parents Project aimed at creating a child-friendly city.

This new household services program aims to help families strike the right balance between work and life by assisting with household chores such as cleaning, dishwashing, and laundry, allowing pregnant women to focus on safe childbirth and for dual-income and multiple-child families to spend more time with their children.

The city plans to invest a total of KRW 6.46 billion to provide support to approximately 13,000 households, including pregnant women, dual-income families, and families with multiple children, whose income is within 150% of the median income criteria for Seoul residents. Households facing family care gaps due to disabilities, illnesses, or other situations will be prioritized, with the goal of reducing their caregiving responsibilities and burdens.

The city will receive applications starting on Tue, Jun. 27 for ten days until Thu, Jul. 6, and the program will be available for use starting in July until the end of November.

Applications can be made via the website of Seoul Family (familyseoul.or.kr) or the program itself (seoulgasa.or.kr). Details on the support contents, eligibility, and required documents for each category can be found on the SMG website (seoul.go.kr → Notifications and Public Notices).

To apply for the program, visit application webpage, sign up as a member, conduct a self-assessment, provide consent for personal information, log in, fill out the application form, attach supporting documents, and submit the final application.
